Congrats! I've been following your journey and just want to say how excited I am for you. Also, as one who brought home a 16-month-old in September, the decisions you make for Sydney and for your family are YOURS to make. I hate that you have had criticism on that front and I know how hard it is when people (even people we love dearly) just don't understand. Let the comments of encouragement and support sink in, and try to let the others roll off. I know I've had to.

Sydney will stop screaming, she will learn to love you, and it WILL get better. In the mean time, the decisions you make ARE the best! Good luck!

Kristi and family,

PRAISE the LORD!! I am so excited for you all. Adoption is very close to my heart and pray that one day I will be able to do the very same thing. I look forward to meeting Sydney and in time when she's ready, we will love having her a part of Capshaw Kid's Company Preschoolers!

Praying for your safe trip home!

In Him,

Suzanne Poffenberger
Capshaw Children's Director

Congratulations. Know you were indeed prayed for this morning. And, I'll continue praying for your family... Our guy was 21 months old coming home and while it IS awesome, it AIN'T easy. Be confident. You are the parents now. Pray often, then go with your heart and your gut, despite what casual onlookers may say. You do (will) know what's best for your family. -T

Alan and Kristi, I am so excited. Mother and Daddy had tears in there eyes when Karl called after getting your Email that it is finally over and you guys are truly a completed family. I can't wait to love on my precious niece that I have waited for two years to hold and love. Alan, since the day you babysat Amanda I have wanted you to have a daughter to wrap herself around your pinky. I know you two are chosen from God to love this child and the two very special boys back home in AL. I love you "all five of you"!!!!

Awesome news! A family at last! Safe travels home and can't wait to see your post from home with your precious little girl enjoying her room.

Hang in there with the bonding. It's hard for all of you, keep the faith that it will happen. Meanwhile, just keep trying. (((HUGS)))

Kristi, YAY!!! I agree with the prior poster, Lauren. Yes, she will love you -- it may take a few months, but she will love you for the wonderful mother that you are. God Bless. Bring that baby home!!! Ellen, your sayaxche friend (home with my daughter since Jan 2008)

Yeah! Home for Thanksgiving, what a wonderful present.
Don't you just love the Embassy? We were there four hours in Feb, two poopy diapers, spit-up, and a crying fit. Ah, yes, I don't want to relive that.
