Pray-er-uh and the First Bank of Mom
Luke has a healthy but SERIOUS obsession with what we call "PRAYER" and he calls "PRAY-ER-UH". We now are in the habit of blessing meals, snacks and anything we anticipate putting in our mouths. Whoa be unto you if you eat prior to his singing of God Our Father..........it goes something like this:
Luke: WE DIDN'T SAY THE PRAY-ER-UH....WE DIDN'T SAY THE PRAY-ER-UH!! WE HAVE TO SAY THE PRAY-ER-UH!!!
Then he begins to sing:
God our FODDER(Father), God our Fodder(Father)
We give TANKS(thanks), We give TANKS(thanks)
For DUH(the) many blessings, For DUH(the) many blessings
A-A-MEN, A-A-MEN!!!
Ahhhhhhhhh, sweet boy......what a sweet song that you insist upon singing. Nothing else will do unless of course you are in one of your moods and someone else has to pray. I love it!!!
And then there's the teenager in my house who thinks I am an ATM. Am I the ONLY parent out there that refuses to bankroll breakfast AND lunch at school? Now really, I don't mind the lunch thing because he likes eating lunch at school. But breakfast too.......I don't think so!!

Emery is also obsessed with prayer these days. Even when he sits down to read stories, he gets to the end and says "amen". I love it! I think Luke and Emery would have a fun time together, want to do a playdate?
Just praying today that your beautiful daughter is home soon!!!
That was precious! In our house, I get corrected if I say "Ah-men" instead of "A-men." (let's get all technical about how we close our prayers)
Love that story of Luke and the pray-er-uh!
