Guatemala - Trip 4 - Day 4

Much like day 3, minus the used car salesman. Lots of praying, emailing with agency, lots of time spent in our room with the Queen, lots of thoughts, theories, ideas being tossed around and a cranky 14 month old who WOULD NOT nap today. Add in the fact that for some reason, when she would have her cereal bottle, she would immediately gag on it and throw up but drank her milk bottles fine. Didn't matter what the consistancy of the cereal....up it came to cover anything unlucky enough to be in its path!! Clothes, blankets, bibs, body parts, parents.......and it was STINKY!!! Today was not a good day for eating.

Sister-girl, as a result of NO NAP, promptly fell asleep in my lap post-bathtime and after a cereal bottle puking moment. She is soundly dreaming of her brothers waiting anxiously at home! She's been out since 7:30 and praying this is another nite of 11 hours uninterrupted sleep!!! Being little takes a lot out of you --- so to speak of course! :-)

Anywho - it's been another good day of bonding with our sweetie. She LOOOOVES her Daddy (as you may have noticed from Alan's post below) and screams for him when he's not paying attention to her little pinchy fingers reaching out for him. She loves her Mommy even though I'm the mean one who gives the baths. Yes we had another showdown tonight and I think that Mexico called the front desk requesting something be down with the child who hates water. I told Mexico to chill-lax....the kid HAS TO HAVE a bath!!

Cannot believe tomorrow is the day we always hate --- giving her back to Vivi! Oh my heart.....atleast this time we are much closer to out. We're on the 2nd reviewer's desk for the 3rd time since September. We're praying that this time her file goes to Barrios' desk for his signature. Then we pray that Sayaxche has their Civil Registry mess fixed and we can get her new birth certificate ASAP!!! We need her home.

In God' time........
