So, here's the plan ---

Here's the latest.....
Lawyer says the birth certificate will be ready for pick up 10/24.
Final leg of the legal process will begin on 10/29.

The items that need to be completed at this time are as follows:

**Passport.....with OUR last name!!! (takes 1 day)

**Submit file and passport to the embassy to get approval for 2nd DNA(takes 1-2 days)

**2nd DNA.....it's currently taking 4-5 days for processing

**Exit medical.....can be done the same day as DNA

**2nd DNA gets back to embassy and pink is issued WITHIN 48 hours. Appt is usually a week later.

Once we know that the 2nd DNA has been Fed Ex'ed back to the US, we will be heading to Guatemala 4 days later. Due to the lack of movement within the adoption process, there are lots of appointment times going unfilled each week. The USE is allowing families that are in country to call and get an earlier appointment date since they are already there. We can track the DNA back the USE and once it's been delivered to the USE, we can call them. They will pull our results and give us a date/time to FINALIZE THIS ADOPTION!!!!
