Sheer, Absolute, Total EXHAUSTION!!!

That pretty much sums us all up. Faye's surgery began at 10am and ended at 3pm today. They said 3-4 hours but it went to 5 hours. The doc believes that it IS a malignant tumor. They WERE able to get all of the mass and there seems to have been NO DAMAGE to her optic nerve!! Thank God!!! She was moving her eyes, blinking, counting fingers. My SIL was asking her some questions to see how she'd answer them and she did fine. There may be some short term memory loss, so we wait to see how that goes.
Next item on the agenda is beginning her healing process. She has quite the incision on the left side of her head. Once she starts doing well, they will begin the radiation and chemo for the spots on her liver and pelvic bone. Not sure what all that will entail since that is the next thing we are facing. Rest assured, updates will be posted regularly here.
We are still waiting to see if Sydney was resubmitted to PGN today like we were told would happen. I spent a great deal of the day praying for Faye and begging God to please bring my daughter home so she can meet her Grandmother. I pray that He answers my prayers........
