Fun at Lake Guntersville

Saturday we drove over to Lake Guntersville to eat at Top of the River (a seafood place). We met our fabulous friends Mandie, Brandon, Caitlyn, McKenzie, Gabe & Izzie(a GuateTot) for an early dinner. It's about 1/2 between us, so it's a great meeting point for us. I'm not sure why we thought it was going to be nice and WARM with huge wind gusts off the lake but we had a blast!!!

Izzie and Luke hit it off and became fast friends.....and I do mean FAST!!! Luke had to move quickly before she caught him. She wanted to play and he didn't want to share. That Izzie is a dollbaby and I could just squeeze her to pieces!!! :-) AJ and Gabe are almost the same age too, so they have fun......until AJ lost site of the baseball and got popped in the mouth. OOOOPS!

Dinner was YUMMMMY!!! There was catfish, cornbread, popcorn shrimp, fries, baked potatos, chicken, FRIED PICKLES and HUGEMONGOUS onion rings!!! Lots of sweet tea and good times!! Well, until we had the little "HIGHCHAIR" incident. Can I just say that we cleared the table and headed to the parking lot to finish our chatting!!! FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNY!!!
Here are just a few pics. It was almost too windy to take do too many.

Don't know how I got the shot of the ball in this last pic!

Luke was not quite into it yet - thus the scowl!

Izzie's oldest sister Caitlin, doing her TURTLE impression.

My future DAUGHTER-IN-LAW?

Pics of sweet Isabella --- isn't she just a doll!!!

Luke and Izzie's first date --- I DROVE!!!

And now here's a look at AJ's mouth on Sunday morning after the little baseball accident on Saturday afternoon at the look! The pics really don't show how bad it looks! YEEEEEOUC!!

Hey. I'm so sorry to see AJ's face. We did have a great time though. I didn't tell you that, as if the highchair incident wasn't embarrassing enough, we got stopped as we were leaving because BJ left his food on top of the car...lol. I'm so glad we got to get out and spend some time with each other. I miss you guys so much. I can't wait to do it again. We need to get Luke and Izzie together again. Talk to you soon. As always, we are praying for you guys!!!!

Kristi,
I feel for you and the frustration over the senseless bureaucratic dragging of feet. My first daughter came home at almost 16 months (Hague mess of 03/04) and she did just fine adjusting to everything. I only visited her once for her first b'day. Sydney has had the pleasure of seeing you and getting to know you several times. How fortunate for both of you. Take heart my friend, many prayers are being lifted for you and Sydney.
Glad to see that you got to have a fun family outing. I love Lake G!!! When we finally move to Bama, I hope we can get together and share some happy times to.
