Wow - how true it is!!! We don't have a daughter, so we returned to Guatemala continue building our family. We have determined that we need to foster. That means that I am living in another country for a length of time to bring her home!! Definitely not anything Alan or I have EVER done before but something we have finally embraced in order to complete our family.

In preparation for fostering, we asked for anyone that might have SkyMiles or AmEx points to please consider helping us out. We have received an amazing, humbling, overwhelming outpouring of support. You have given more than we could have ever imagined. As a result of your generosity, we will only pay the price of 1/2 of one international ticket to send both of us to Guatemala to settle me in to foster and for Alan to come back down at pick up. Yes, we got that much support!!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE -- THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Some people have said, well, we don't have any miles or points but we will gladly send financial support to ease the finances a bit. Gosh, it's hard to accept financial assistance for anything. Today I received a rather large check from 11 of my cyber-sisters. Some I have met in person, some I have not. This check will pay for our LAST foster payment that is due tomorrow!!! For those who are praying -- please continue. Here lately I have been having a hard time doing that for myself. I need ya'll to get me through this rough patch. I am just so ready for my daughter to come HOME where she belongs!!!!
