It's official - I'm heading to Antigua to foster

UPDATE 1/06/08 9:50pm:

Things are on hold for a few days. We found out that we are going to need to get some definitive answers from a couple people before we make our travel arrangements..... please keep praying.

WOW! Can you believe it? It is starting to sink in around here. I am quite anxious about leaving Alan and my boys but I am very confident in his ability to handle everything while I'm gone.

The current plan is for me and Alan to meet Tammy in Atlanta on Friday, January 18th. We'll connect there and fly to GC. On Friday night we'll stay at the Grand Tikal. We will get Sydney and Robbie on Saturday and head to Antigua in the afternoon to set up our temporary home. We'll hopefully be within walking distance of Central Park, the Market, some cafes and other historical points. It's definitely going to be a whole new experience but one that I am willing to embark on if it means bringing my daughter home.

We have so much to do and a very short time to do it, so please just keep us in your prayers!! We have to make sure the agency gets us our guardianship papers so we can full custody of Sydney while we're there.

Much luck to you! I lived/studied in Antigua for a month while I was in college - I loved every single minute of it. I am so glad you will be with your daughter - she needs you! Please have a liquado at Dona Luisa's for me. Besos, Portia
