Guatemala - Trip 4 - Day 3
WOW! What a day it was!! Meetings with lawyers and used car salesmen!! Sorry, inside joke....maybe one day I can explain. Constant, non-confrontational, informative communication with the agency! Answers and information galore. Positive directions for Tammy & family. Soooo much different stuff going on that our agency guy booked a last minute trip to arrive here today to meet us and take care of some things that are happening that aren't supposed to be. Just another day of God being here with us!!
We really didn't do much today except the "business" stuff. We spent a good deal of time back and forth the lobby to meet with people. A couple little naps in between. Plus we got have Robbie hang out in our room while his Mami y Papa had a meeting. My sweet Robbie.....this child is just a sweetheart but a little stinker too. He knows, even through the language barrier, when to play a joke, when to laugh at something that's going on, just the sweetest little guy!!
Our Sydney girl is a trooper but about 6pm she had a meltdown! Our daughter *H*A*T*E*S* ...... hates hates hates getting a bath! Her feet touched the water and she began screaming like a banshee and clawing like a wildcat! I have NEVER heard a child scream like that about getting a bath. Luke is like a fish and we have get stern to get him out of the tub. Not Sydney --- she finally let me bathe her but threw one heck of a tantrumfor the whole 4 minutes it took. And she was even in a smaller baby tub...not the big tub.
Honestly, I thought that someone was going to come knock on our door to check on us she was screaming so much and so loudly. Her face was beet red, her knuckles were white, her body was just stiff. Sydney tried to climb me when I started getting her out. She is one strong little chiquita!! Poor girl snubbed for about 30 minutes and only a bottle would calm her down. Alas, no long-term damage....I was the one she wanted as she calmed down.
Speaking of --- Sydney is so insanely attached to us already. She just reaches for her Daddy and me. Looks at us and scrunches that nose as if to say, look at me - aren't I too darn cute. Just laughs like crazy at everything. Siiiigh, life is good in Guatemala.
Ok - a few pics. Not many since we didn't really do much with all the business stuff. We're going to take more today....outside in the courtyard etc. Maybe even try to throw in some video of her if I can get it to download. Not having much succes on that note.
Please, Mommy, I'm trying to play here!!
Oh ok, one more picture --- just one though! I must go meet my agent now!
YES MOMMY! I love you too but you really don't have to hug so hard...I'll hug you back, I promise!
This is a true Sydney moment....happy & smiley!! What an angel!
WHAT? What glass? I am not going to get the glass....I'm really going for my bottle....really, I promise.
Don't let her fool you -- she was going for the glass!
