Yep - I'm such a scrooge this year!! I cannot seem to get myself in gear to get gifts bought, the house decorated, etc!! Christmas is in THREE WEEKS and by this time, in years past, I am almost done. Not this year! Part of it's because I am just so bummed that Sydney is not home and she was supposed to be. It's been hard on everyone and we are all so ready!! The other part is that Christmas has become so "commercial"!! We are trying so hard to bring things down to a reasonable level at our house. Our kids don't go without all year but they aren't spoiled either. We'd like to get back to the REAL REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!

I am right there with you! Last christmas was very hard for me. Not knowing if we would ever adopt. But this year is going to be a good one for us. It is ok to feel this way...enjoy the holiday with the boys...it will be the last one with just them. Just think about what next year will be like...absolute joy!!! Hugs and Keep the faith!
