Ramblings of a waiting Momma

Well, here comes another holiday season. Our pitiful "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" is in the front window. We'll be putting on the ornaments in a little while. The gifts that have been purchased are wrapped and tagged...ready to be put under said "CBCT". Just a little more shopping and I'll be all done. The goal is completion this weekend and that's good, because I'm still not into this.... AT ALL! AJ is in to it but not near as much as the past few years. He is so upset that Syd isn't home yet!

361 days ago we were told that our daughter would be home by Halloween..just shy of her first birthday and home for her 2nd Christmas. We were so excited because we were able to surprise our parents the week of Christmas 2006 with the news of a new baby at home for the holidays in 2007. Little did we know the constant problems that waited for us in the wings....

Six months ago we were told that she'd be home by her first birthday. A month ago we were told that it would be ATLEAST January 14th before there was any chance of her coming home because of problems in Sayaxche. Two days ago we were told that we were kicked out for the 2nd time due to more sloppy work by our people in GC.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh, no...... putting up the tree, wrapping gifts, listening to music didn't help the mood. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings, Happy Hannukah, etc etc etc. BAH HUMBUG - yep, still Mrs. Scrooge...

My boys still love me and life is STILL GOOD!!!!
