OH GOD PLEASE HELP US!!

Please pray......OUR AGENCY SAYS:

Your case is moving at the pace it has due to one MAJOR reason, the child’s birth certificate is in the town called Sayaxche. This village was the focus of the burning of the person and the mayors house during the election. This all started in July 07’. The mayor was replaced by the election and is not issuing documentation associated with adoptions. We have one completed case that we cannot get the birth certificate with the families name issued. Perhaps you should hire Adoption Supervisors but before you pay their fees, make sure you get confirmation that they will travel to this mayor’s office and give you a guarantee they will get the documents you need. We have hired two additional attorneys to address this issue and have not charged back for their fees. We can do this under our agreement for this falls under the category of additional government requirement and expenses. We are going beyond our responsibility as an agency. It would be much easier to abandon this adoption and start over with another child from a different location but we are committed to this adoption.

OH MY GOSH!!!! Kristy, I am so sorry! I cannot believe all the road blocks that keep coming up in this process to bring Sydney home.

Lord, PLEASE provide the needed documents to get Sydney's case back in PGN and HOME where she belongs. God Almighty, you are the only one that deliver this family from this deep pit, for you bring LIGHT into darkness!

Have you talked to Adoption Supervisors? Didn't you have to hire them already to get her case into PGN the first time?

I am praying so hard! Keep us updated!!

Kristi,

You know I believe in the power of prayer at all times, but this response from "the" agency just makes my patootie tired!!!!!!!

What a bunch of condescending, narcissistic idiots!!!! Why don't THEY hire someone to get the BC..better yet, send Ms M right on up to the town to help with this....she is their "professional" on the ground....and of course they need to mention that they are going above and beyond "the" agency responsibility...which they do a great job of avoiding at any turn...I shouldn't be surprised that this came from them...my mind ,I guess, just can't comprehend the depths to which they will stoop to make a buck...and keep it...hey, tell them that we said it was okay to use some of the money they kept from our case.....this just makes me sick!!!!!....hang in there, sweetie

...and another thing...it would be much easier on WHO????? to start over...again it is unbelievable for them to have this attitude...we're not talking about a piece of furniture that has been discontinued....what IF they got out of their "office" down there in Dutch country and traveled for a change to Guat...now there is a unique idea..since they've never been there...lets see them put some effort into their "commitment" to this adoption

ok, I'm finished now....

Bless the Child

My heart is hurting for you tonight. I will keep you in my prayers. I know there are no words that can be spoken or written that will help, but I pray that God Almighty wrap His loving arms so tightly around you at this moment and give you peace and favor in this situation. We serve a BIG God that does BIG things and I will hold on to that for your precious daughter!

Kristi,
I fear I may be in the same boat as your family. My toddler's (thru same agency as you) birthmother is also from Peten. I have not been able to get the agency to show me a birth certificate yet, and I am already in family court. In fact my child's birth mother gave up an infant daughter some months before she gave up her toddler. I cannot get the agency to tell me anything recently, and when I read your post my heart sank. I will pray for you and for both of our daughters.
