Sunday Day 4: The Sounds of Our Hearts Breaking

As you know, Sydeny crashed last night at 7:00pm. That little thing slept until 5:30am without waking ONE TIME!!! I am enjoying this getting to sleep all night!!! So, she's up at 5:30 cooing and talking to me while I make ANOTHER 6oz bottle!! Did I mention this girl can eat!?!?!?! WOW! Anyway, the entire time she's eating, she's talking and smiling and giggling like crazy. The tears start and I all I can think is that I have to give her back in 12 hours. I pull myself back together and feed her the entire bottle. About that time, she does what babies are so good at --- she begins to grunt and her face gets all squishy and red. Ahhhh, back to reality and a good old diaper change. It's only 6:30am and I figure if I'm cleaning her up, she may as well go get a bath!!

She's not so sure about this bath thing! She definitely doesn't like having her hair rinsed after it's been washed. Sydney does like being snuggled up in the towel afterwards. She just looks at the towel as she pulls it around. Her favorite part seems to be the lotion massage. She just smiles and stretches the biggest stretch every time! This little angel could not be any cuter or have my heart wrapped around her little finger any more than she does.

Bath times over and Daddy is waking up - Daddy doesn't sleep much on this VERY HARD BED!! He'll be happy to sleep in our bed again! Sydney enjoys snuggling with Daddy so I lay her down beside him. She talks and kicks for a bit. The next thing I know is the sound silence. Both of them are asleep again, it's 7am(she slept until 9:00 but would have slept longer if we hadn't woke her up so we could go to breakfast!!). Didn't that kid just sleep a full 9.5 hours!!! Sleep little one, sleep!!

We had another wonderful breakfast full of yummy foods. Once again, I was eating things at 9:00am that I usually eat around lunchtime but usually dinnertime!! Oh and the fresh fruit/juice.....YUUUUUUUUUMMY!!! So much for thinking I would "cut back" while we were here!! Jean and Ana came to eat with us....guess we didn't run them off. Ana was so sleepy as was her Mommy! Did I mention that Jean has a grown son and THREE grandkids. Ana will be one on April 12th!!! GO JEAN GO!!!

Oh yeah, there was a clown at breakfast schmoozing with the kiddos! It was great - her name was Smoochie! Hysterical I tell you! She was telling jokes, making balloon animals, giving the children little toys and such. She just fawned over the 3 babies at our table. You can tell by the pics how much fun she was! The older kids LOVED it!!

It's now 11:30 and Sydney has gone down for a little siesta! She's such a wonderful baby, I wish you all had been here to see how blessed my family truly is. I have the best hubby in the world, 3 beautiful, smart, wonderful kids and a support group of people that I couldn't live without. How did I get so lucky??

The countdown has begun --- we have approximately 2 1/2 hours until Viviana comes to get my angel. The tears have flowed all day. Sometimes so much that I thought I would be ill. I just keep reminding myself that we're only "LOANING" her to the fostermom for a time. She'll be our keeper at home before you know it. Anyone want to talk Alan into letting me and the boys come down after school lets out to foster for the summer? :-)

Regardless of all those blessings, my heart breaks a little more with every passing moment. I packed her bag for Viviana...... crying a little harder and wondering when I will see her again. Will she remember us? Will the court system send her on through quickly? Will we have to make another visit trip? When will this journey end? So many thoughts go through my head as my heart breaks. Please pray that she will be home soon and our family will finally be COMPLETE!

God bless you all and please remember how special life is. Don't take it for granted. Each passing day has memories you'll never forget. Whether they are good or bad, they are pieces of our lives. Stay tuned for more as we venture this way.........
